"Waiting" by Carl Sandburg: A poem about a day spent at the harbor... or a poem about a stage of life? (What is the "quest of an unknown shore"?)

  1. Such a beautiful reading of a wonderful poem. I know I spoke once of not taking a poet's words and holding them upside down until the real pocket change came tumbling out of hidden pockets, yet this poem reminds me that sometimes we see many things when we experience one scene, and the great talents have a way to deliver many visions with one pen.
